On May 9, 2025, our dear brother, father, colleague and friend Michael Nelson suffered a major stroke and heart attack, a life-altering event that placed him on life support and left his family facing the agonizing decisions tied to the possibility of executing a difficult decision. In those moments, prayer, time, and patience took center stage—and through the grace of God and the power of our collective faith, a slow, but steady recovery has begun to unfold.

Michael has since been removed from life support, progressing from ICU to Med-Surge, then to rehab, and now—miraculously—to home care on August 5, 2025. While this is a testament to his resilience along with HIS divine mercy, the road ahead remains long and challenging.

At present, Michael has very limited movement on the entire left side of his body, along with speech difficulties as a byproduct of his health event, but we continue to witness signs of brain recovery that fuel our hope for a full restoration. We remain faithful that this journey is in full alignment with the will of the God we serve.

However, this path to healing comes with a significant financial strain. Michael’s recovery will require ongoing support for;

• A complex medication regimen

• Physical therapy

• Speech therapy

• Occupational therapy

• And many other essential services

Michael does not have insurance coverage or the financial bottom line to sustain these needs alone. That’s why we are asking, from the depths of our hearts, for your support and monetary donation to aid in his long-term recovery plan.
