Supporting Melina's Immediate Medical Costs

Dear Friends of Melina,

 

As you may know, on Saturday, September 18th, our dear friend Melina was in a serious accident. Melina was side-swiped by a vehicle on the freeway. The impact was so intense that her car flew across the barrier onto oncoming traffic and was hit by 5 cars. Melina was not sure she would survive, her spine was severely injured, ribs and wrists broken, and her lungs bruised. She went on to receive several surgeries, including major surgical intervention of her spine. She is taking her recovery one day at a time and remaining hopeful.

 

Melina has a long road to recovery. After leaving the ICU, she went to the neuro science speciality unit. During this time, we want Melina’s focus to be 100% on recovery and getting stronger. This GoFundMe account will support Melina’s immediate medical expenses and help ensure she receives the best in care and rehabilitation while not worrying about costs.

 

Melina has dedicated her life and career to helping others, most especially those vulnerable and in need. Those that have been lucky enough to cross paths with Melina know how very special, kind and generous she is. She feels extremely blessed and grateful to be surrounded by so many loving friends, colleagues, and family members. As you can imagine, medical fees will be exorbitant so we appreciate everyone that has reached out to ask how they can help and encourage you to share Melina’s GoFundMe page far and wide.

 

We hope that our individual efforts and contributions bring Melina a little peace of mind during these challenging times. Melina will be the sole beneficiary of this account and all contributions will go directly to her.
