Hello, we are inviting people to help and support Mawe ya kati Primary School.
Mawe ya kati is a school of 180 primary students built in 2016.It is situated past Jacaranda Resort towards Mayungu, just off the coastal non tarmac road from Watamu.
The schools committee, seven teachers and newly appointed head, Mr. Shadrack Baya Warah are all working hard together. New initiatives have seen the extention of breakfast to include Year1, the arrival of official books, 7 new desks and a choir under Mr Felix Wanje.
Two years ago in Nakuru Mr Felix Wanje trained Jimba School Choir to become Champions of all Kenya. Mawe ya kati choir will compete in 2025.
We are fund raising to
- Build toilet facilities for the teachers and students
- Buy books to help with the teaching and learning
- Help fund this schools choir to compete locally, regionally and nationally in Kenya
