Matt & his wife Jess live in Antietam, Reading PA, and have 5 children as well as one grandchild. Matt is a very kind, gentle human, loving father, and husband. In addition, this compassionate gent is also a very talented visual artist with a deep well of engaging work.
2020 was a difficult year for all of us but the Mazurkiewicz family faced an additional burden through a series of unfortunate circumstances. Just as the pandemic began to take hold and modify everyday life for most of us, Matt’s job of nearly 20 years was eliminated. Shortly after that, he learned he would need a heart transplant within the next two years at the young age of 45. In addition to that devastating piece of information, due to Covid-19, Matthew’s wife Jessica found herself losing shifts and ultimately got laid-off from her job in the local restaurant industry. While Matt waits on the list for a new heart, we put together this go fund me to help with the many expenses (medical bills, copays, medicine, travel and lodging) that come with this incredibly delicate procedure. We hope, through this go fund me, to extend a small bit of comfort and relief to this wonderful, community-minded family!
