Hi everyone,
This past week has been incredibly unexpected and heavy for us.
Marty recently suffered a stroke and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors were able to quickly remove the clot. We are so grateful for the care he received and for the progress he’s already made. Knowing how serious this could have been, we feel very fortunate.
Right now, Marty is continuing his recovery and will be transitioning into a rehabilitation program before he is able to come home. He has a strong road ahead of him as he works on regaining his strength, mobility, and independence.
As we walk through this next phase, we’re learning to take things one day at a time. I will be stepping away from work for a short period to be present with him and help however I can during this transition.
If you know Marty, you know he is incredibly independent and would never ask anyone for help. Sharing this is not easy, but I love him, and I want to support him in every way I can—including allowing others the opportunity to support him during this time.
Several people have already reached out asking how they can help, and this felt like the most direct way to give that option.
Any support will go toward:
• Ongoing medical and rehabilitation needs
• Transportation and follow-up care
• Helping ease the temporary shift in our household during recovery
More than anything, we are focused on giving Marty the time, care, and support he needs to heal.
If you feel led to give or share, we are deeply grateful. If not, your encouragement, prayers, and support truly mean just as much to us.
Thank you for being here with us during this time.
