I am Natalie, a college bestie of Jenna, hoping to help Jenna and Mark as they manage through this trying time!

The Heart of the Story

Mark Morgan is a man who has spent his life guiding others. As a devoted husband, father of two, and a long-time Scout Master in the St. Louis area, Mark has spent years teaching young men the importance of community and "being prepared." However, the start of 2026 brought a series of trials that have tested the Morgan family’s resilience to the limit.

The Challenges

On New Year’s Day, Mark suffered a heart attack. He has been in and out of the hospital ever since, and the recovery process has left him unable to work. While Mark was hospitalized, a severe St. Louis winter storm dropped a foot of snow and sent temperatures plummeting. Under the strain of the cold, the electrical system in their 70-year-old family home began to fail.

While a temporary fix was found to keep the lights and heat on for now, it is a "band-aid" solution on a system that is no longer safe. The meter main and the original breaker box are outdated and must be fully replaced to ensure the home remains habitable and safe for Mark’s wife and boys long-term.

How Your Support Helps

We are reaching out to our community, friends, and fellow Scouters. We are aiming to raise $12,000 to bridge the gap during this difficult season:
• Essential Electrical Restoration ($7,000): To replace the 70-year-old breaker box and the meter main where the electrical services attach to the house. This will replace the temporary fix with a permanent, safe system.
• Medical & Household Support ($5,000): To cover the medical bills that have already begun arriving and to support the family's daily needs while Mark waits for his part-time disability benefits to begin.

A Humble Request

Mark is much more comfortable being the person who gives help than the one who asks for it. Our goal is to take the weight of these bills off his shoulders so he can focus entirely on his cardiac recovery.

Any contribution, no matter the size, is a profound gift to this family. If you aren't able to donate, simply sharing this link with your friends, family, or Scout troop would mean the world to us. Thank you for your kindness and for keeping Mark in your thoughts.
