Walking for MaleSurvivors: Hope, Healing & Support

I’m raising money for MaleSurvivor, an organization dedicated to providing hope, healing, and support to men who have experienced sexual abuse, assault, and other forms of sexual trauma.

My best friend and I are taking on a long-distance walk to raise both money and awareness for this important cause. We’re walking because male survivors are too often overlooked, and many men still face stigma, shame, and isolation when trying to talk about their experiences.

Sexual abuse can happen to anyone, regardless of age, background, or gender. Yet when the survivor is a man, there can be an added layer of silence and misunderstanding. Too many men are left feeling that they should simply “get over it,” that they should have been able to stop it, or that their experiences somehow don’t count. They do.

Since 1995, MaleSurvivor has worked to create a safe and supportive community where men can find hope, healing, and connection with others who understand what they have experienced. For more than 30 years, MaleSurvivor has been dedicated to breaking the silence surrounding sexual abuse and supporting male survivors on their journey toward healing.

Today, MaleSurvivor reaches survivors around the world. Men from more than 100 countries access our community annually. Our discussion board alone has received more than 150 million views and has more than 22,000 registered accounts. Across all of MaleSurvivor’s platforms, tens of thousands of people visit and engage with our resources each day.

Behind those numbers are real people - men searching for answers, looking for someone who understands, or simply trying to find the courage to take their first step toward healing.

The funds raised through this campaign will support MaleSurvivor’s ongoing work to provide resources, peer support, community, education, and pathways toward healing for male survivors around the world.

Every donation, no matter the amount, can make a difference. As an all-volunteer organization, MaleSurvivor works to ensure that every dollar raised helps support male survivors, as well as their friends and family, around the world. Your contribution helps us continue providing resources, community, education, and support to those who need it.
