Supporting Mae on Her Long Road to Recovery

Donation protected
Five-year-old Mae has already faced more challenges than most people do in a lifetime. Born with a Grade 4 IVH (intraventricular hemorrhage), Mae developed cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Since birth, she has endured many surgeries and long hospital stays — including a particularly difficult stretch in hospital just last year.

Recently, Mae suffered a stroke, and she and her family are now back in Hobart for the foreseeable future while doctors work to understand the cause and find the right treatment. It’s another unexpected hurdle in what has already been a very tough journey.

Mae is incredibly strong, but the road ahead will be long. Between ongoing medical care, specialist appointments, rehabilitation, and the time her family needs to spend by her side, the challenges — emotional, physical, and financial — continue to grow.

We’re raising funds to support Mae and her family during this difficult time. Your support will help ease the pressure of medical expenses, travel, and everyday costs, allowing the family to focus on what matters most: helping Mae heal and giving her the best possible chance at recovery.

Every donation, share, and message of support means the world.

Thank you for standing with Mae and her family as they face the next chapter of this journey together.
