Hi everyone, my name is Harley, and I am Madison’s best friend. I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of Madison and her family as they walk through one of the hardest seasons of their lives. We are trusting God for healing, strength, and provision every step of the way.
On Tuesday night, Madison’s life changed in an instant when she was severely burned in a sudden grease fire. She suffered deep third-degree burns on her arms and hands, along with a mix of second- and third-degree burns on her legs. She was transported to MUSC in Charleston, where she is now receiving intensive burn care and treatment. We are believing God is guiding every doctor and nurse caring for her.
I also want to share something that gives a very real picture of the weight this family is carrying. Many of you know Madison’s sweet mama has been bravely battling colon cancer and going through chemotherapy. I include this not to add sadness, but to give an honest view of what their family has on their plate right now. Her mom paused her treatments to be by Madison’s side, and her family and I are traveling back and forth to Charleston while trying to work as much as possible. Between missed work, hospital stays, gas, food, and travel costs, the financial strain is heavy — yet their faith has remained steady.
Anyone who knows Madison knows she is incredibly independent — she would never ask for help. That’s why I’m stepping in. Madison is one of the most giving, loving, and selfless people you will ever meet, and she is a devoted mama to her precious two-year-old son. She has a home to maintain, a little one to care for, and now a long and painful road of healing ahead. We are praying over her daily and trusting God to restore her fully.
With everything going on at once, and with the medical bills we know will come, we want to make sure that when Madison finally comes home — which doctors say may still be weeks away — the last thing she or her family has to worry about is finances. This fundraiser will help cover medical bills, travel expenses, food, gas, missed work, and anything else the family needs during this time. Our hope is to lift as much of this burden as possible so they can focus fully on healing and God’s peace.
If you feel led, please consider donating, sharing, or covering this family in your prayers. Your support means more than words can say. We truly believe God places the right people around us during times like this, and we are so grateful for everyone lifting Madison and her family up.
Thank you for surrounding Madison with love, prayer, and faith. God is not finished writing her story.
