Supporting Lucy & Michael Through Brain Cancer Treatment

Dear friends, family and kind-hearted coworkers,

We are reaching out on behalf of Lucy Synder (Vasbinder) and Michael during one of the most challenging times of their lives. Michael has recently been diagnosed with a glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Recently he underwent a complex brain surgery at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, where doctors were able to perform a partial removal of the tumor.

While the surgery was a critical first step, the journey ahead is long and uncertain. Michael will soon begin a rigorous course of chemotherapy and radiation, with many physical, emotional and financial challenges to come.

Lucy has been Michael’s unwavering advocate, but this battle requires her full attention and presence. We are humbly asking for your support through financial donations or contributions of PTO (paid time off) so Lucy can remain by Michael’s side without the added strain of lost income or job insecurity.
