Our mom, Lori, was our dad’s full time caretaker for years after he was diagnosed with primary progressive MS. This disease ripped away so much from our dad and our entire family. Our mom stuck by his side through it all and never once complained or asked for help. She is a true superwoman, always doing everything for all of us, putting everyone else before herself, and now it’s our time to be there for her and care for her. Our dad was her life. Caring for him was her full time job, her everything, for the past several years. She is going to need time to grieve and heal before trying to figure out what’s next for her. Between funeral costs, paying off extensive medical bills, and needing time to grieve and heal, she deserves all the help we can give her.
