Supporting Lolita Through Recovery

The Lollar family and friends are raising funds to help Lolita cover out-of-pocket expenses for recovery from her second battle with stage 3 anal cancer. Lolita was first diagnosed with stage 3 anal cancer that had spread to her lymph nodes, in July of 2021. After a seven week treatment of chemotherapy and radiation everyday, she received the great news of being cancer free. Unfortunately, in April of 2022 we received the devastating news that the cancer was back. Chemotherapy and radiation treatment was no longer an option and a life changing surgery is the only hope for a cure. On May 23, 2022 Lolita underwent a full abdominoperineal resection (APR) which removed her anus, rectum, a part of the colon and all of the lymph nodes in this region.  Lolita will be left with a permanent colostomy bag for the rest of her life. 

Lolita has impacted and touched many lives through friends, family and work colleagues, and now it is our chance to help her in her time of need. Any funds donated will be used to purchase medical supplies that are not covered by insurance and help keep her close to the hospital and doctors during the immidiate and future recovery time.
