Liz has been dealing with a rare and serious medical condition over the past year: idiopathic osteoporosis with pathological fractures.
In simple terms, her bones are breaking repeatedly - often without warning. Even as one fracture heals, another occurs. This has been ongoing for the last 12 months.
Despite working closely with medical teams in Oregon, her case has progressed beyond what local providers can manage.
She has now been referred to the Mayo Clinic, where she will be evaluated and treated by specialists, including leading endocrinologists.
This is a critical next step toward identifying the root cause and creating a path forward.
Medical bills have been adding up over the past year, and this next phase will bring additional expenses, including:
-Travel
-Lodging during treatment
-Ongoing testing and medical care
- Day-to-day support for her family
Liz is a wife and mom to two young boys, a bonus mom, and her family has been navigating this difficult diagnosis while balancing work, parenting, and ongoing medical challenges.
Like many people, Liz is not someone who wants to ask for help. However, she has had many people ask how they can support her. With the uncertainty ahead and the financial impact continuing to build, we are stepping in to support her in this way.
If you’re able to contribute, it will go directly toward helping her access the care she needs, her medical bills, and reducing the financial strain on her family.
If you are not able to donate financially, please pray for her healing. Sharing this page is also deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your support!
Emily
