As many of you know, I’ve been living with incurable metastatic Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma for the past 7 years. I’ve tried my best to keep going, stay independent, and manage life as normally as possible throughout treatment.
I find it difficult to ask for help, and I often look more “well” on the outside than I feel on the inside. The reality is that treatment has been particularly physically and mentally demanding lately, and I’m needing more support than I can manage on my own.
After discussing with my care team, I’ve decided to open a GoFundMe to help ease some of the practical and financial pressure that comes with ongoing cancer treatment.
The support would go toward things like:
• Meal support after chemotherapy when I’m unable to cook
• Help with household tasks, cleaning, gardening, and maintaining the home
• Support with symptom management and recovery, including therapies such as oncology massage
• Additional supportive care options that improve comfort and quality of life during treatment
Many people have asked how they can help, and practical support is what I need most right now. While I have wonderful friends and family, everyone is in their own busy stage of life, and being able to pay for some extra help would make a real difference.
I’m deeply grateful for the kindness and support I’ve received over the years. It has carried me through more than I can put into words. I also know some people have told me they missed the last fundraiser before it closed, so I want to make sure there is an opportunity for anyone who still wishes to contribute.
Please don’t feel any obligation to donate. Sharing this, checking in, or keeping my family and me in your thoughts means just as much.
Thank you for continuing to support me through this journey ❤️❤️❤️
