Liam Brereton is a very much-loved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. A farmer, a hurler, a quick witted and hilariously funny person, Liam does not have a bad word for anyone. At just 18 years of age Liam was involved in a devastating car accident that has had lifelong and devastating consequences for him. Despite his extensive injuries Liam has shown immense spirit, strength, and unbelievable determination to live his life. Liam is refusing to give up. He is fully committed to doing everything he can to recover, adapt and rehabilitate. Liam was fortunate to receive a place in The National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire. The treatment he is undertaking there ensures he pushes himself physically and mentally to achieve the best possible outcome. His motivation is inspiring to everyone around him.
Liam's goals are simple but powerful:
To regain as much independence as possible, to rebuild his life, and to keep fighting no matter how hard the road ahead becomes.
But this journey requires enormous resources.
The cost of Intensive Rehabilitation, Mobility Equipment, Home Adaptations, Specialist Care, and Accessible Transport is far beyond what his family, father Denis (Miley), mother Tricia, and his sister Jane can face alone.
We are reaching out to you to request Sponsorship to help give Liam every opportunity to reach his full potential in his recovery. With the right support Liam can access:
• Home modifications to support his everyday needs.
• Life-changing rehabilitation programmes
• Specialist Physiotherapy and Neuro Therapy
• Custom Mobility equipment to maximise his independence.
• A wheelchair -accessible vehicle for appointments and rehab
• Ongoing medical care and essential support services
Every euro raised goes directly towards giving Liam the best possible chance to live a full, active, and independent life. We would be profoundly grateful if you could donate.
Thank you for supporting Liam on his Journey of courage, strength, and determination.
