Supporting Le’s Road to Recovery from Brain Injury

Hello, my name is Julie and I’m raising money for my father’s medical expenses.

On March 5, 2025, my dad suffered a fall and hit his head. My mom witnessed the fall and immediately called 911. Upon arrival at the hospital, my dad was alert and talking to family normally. In a mere 5 hours, my dad started becoming disoriented, confused, and posturing. The MRI showed that he had suffered from right and left-sided hematomas to the frontal and parietal lobes of his brain, as well as a skull fracture.

Due to that, he had to have an emergency life-or-death craniotomy. The neurosurgeon discovered that he had also injured the superior sagittal sinus of the brain when he fell, making the surgery even more complicated. The doctors stated that this was one of the worst traumatic brain injuries that you could have.

I’m raising money to help with my father’s medical expenses. The road to recovery will take months to a year, and doctors are unable to give any answers on recovery time because each patient is different when it comes to the brain. My dad will have to have months of extensive rehabilitation and treatment for his injury.

My father owns a small business with my mom and will be unable to work for a very long time. He has been working since the age of 16 and has always worked 10-hour days, 6 days a week. He has no type of insurance, so everything is on my mother to keep the business afloat.
