Our family is facing an unexpected and overwhelming medical journey. My sister Laurie has been diagnosed with a rare and serious gastrointestinal cancer and is currently undergoing complex care involving repeated trips to London, ON, specialized treatment , and the possibility of major surgery. This care requires frequent travel between hospitals and extended stays away from home for Laurie & her family, creating significant costs for transportation, accommodations and meals. We are focused on supporting her through treatment and recovery, and any help to ease the financial burden of travel and lodging would mean more than we can express. Your support allows us to be present, advocate for her care, and focus on what matters most — her healing.

Update: Laurie asked me to let you know how grateful she is for all of you and your support. She is overwhelmed and deeply moved by your generosity and love (we all are). She is preparing for the next stage of her treatment and showing incredible strength through it all. We are hopeful she will be discharged soon from the Windsor hospital so that she is able to start treatment with her London team asap.
