"Many of you know that she has overcome many obstacles in her life. She is a fighter and she will continue to be a fighter. She needs your help to continue this fight.
In July, we found out Lani has a rare immune deficiency called Dock8. Currently, around 250 people have been diagnosed with this condition. Lani’s years of severe food allergies, recurrent ear infections, recurrent infections, eczema and molluscum were all caused by her Dock8 deficiency. Dock8 is a progressive disorder and gets worse in the teen years. It carries with it a high risk for life threatening infections and cancers. Her immunology team at CHOP has recommended a bone marrow transplant as the only course of action. The bone marrow transplant would cure her of the Dock8 Deficiency, thus securing her future.
This is where YOU come in! Unfortunately, Lani’s sister is not a perfect match. The bone marrow registry does not have a perfect match for Lani, YET.

Once you are in the registry, Lani’s information will be checked regularly to see if there are new matches for her. You could be her match. You could help secure her healthy future. "
