If you’ve ever stood at the Dog Park and watched dogs run free while neighbors connect, you know how special this place is. It’s more than a park—it’s a vital part of our Laguna community.

Right now, it’s facing real challenges.

With increasing pressure from the PMMC to retain its field hospital use and Food Pantry expansion considerations, the future of the Dog Park is at risk of being permanently reduced.

This is happening now, and it requires immediate, thoughtful action.

Friends of Laguna Beach Dog Park has been working diligently to protect this space. To do so responsibly, we’ve had to increase our engagement with legal counsel to:

• Ensure the City remains compliant with binding agreements and grant restrictions

• Stay ahead of critical legal deadlines

• Advocate against permanent encroachment into Dog Park land

• Protect the park’s full footprint for future generations

This work is careful, necessary—and costly.

We have an established dedicated Advocacy Fund to cover these legal and professional fees. These are not optional—they are essential to protecting everything we’ve built together.
