UPDATE
Dear Friends,
As we gather around to give thanks this season, we are filled with immense gratitude for all of you who have supported Kristin on her journey. Your generosity, kind words, & encouragement have been a source of strength for the family during this challenging time.
We’re thrilled to share that Kristin completes her radiation treatments this week, just in time for the holidays and is a significant milestone in her fight. This is a moment of hope and resilience, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the love and support of this incredible community.
Looking ahead, Kristin will take additional steps in her treatment in 2025. While the journey continues, we remain hopeful and determined, knowing that so many of you are standing with Kristin & her family every step of the way.
This Thanksgiving we are so thankful for you for being part of Kristin’s story and for showing us the power of kindness and community.
With heartfelt thanks!
UPDATE!
Kristin's double mastectomy surgery in March went smoothly. The cancer was found in both breasts and some lymph nodes. It was more than they hoped for but the surgeon was confident that she removed as much as she physically could. She was able to get her port put in 3 weeks later and began her first course of aggressive chemotherapy yesterday. She will be undergoing treatment for the next 5 months followed by a hysterectomy and radiation.
Kristin & CJ and their families are extremely grateful for the outpouring of love, support & generosity. Please continue to share this with your families and friends, every contribution helps, and every kind word and prayer us appreciated.
Dear Friends and Family,
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share news about our dear friend, Kristin Huber, who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. She is about to undergo a double mastectomy, followed by aggressive chemotherapy and radiation treatment. This will require several months of surgeries, recovery, and time out of work.
Kristin and her husband CJ live in Farmingdale, NY, with their two loving children Nicholas (13) and Katerina (11).
As many of you know, Kristin and CJ have continuously opened their arms and hearts to friends, family, neighbors, teammates, and community - positively impacting the lives of those whom they touch with their generosity and compassion.
Aside from her role as a mom, Kristin has spent the last several years brightening the days of pre-K students, sharing her creativity and passion with early learners. Unfortunately, during treatment, she will not be able to work, given the risk of infection and illness.
Now, as she faces this challenging journey, she needs our support more than ever. The financial strain of medical bills, and the inability to work during treatment, will be adding to the already overwhelming stress of battling cancer.
Our goal is to help ease the financial strain of medical bills and loss of income, as well as help maintain the consistency of daily routines and tasks associated with running the household.
Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a difference in supporting Kristin and her family during this difficult time. Your generosity will enable her to focus on her health and recovery, without the added worry of financial instability.
If you can offer support through financial assistance, or words of encouragement, and keeping Kristin in your prayers, it would mean the world to her and her family, and to all of us who care deeply about her. Together, we can rally around Kristin and provide the love, strength, and resources she needs to fight this battle, with courage and resilience.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
With gratitude,
Jeanette & Jackie
