Supporting Krista and Ben in Memory of Josh

Donation protected
Joshua Michael Douglas, 33, passed away on May 16, 2024. Born on May 26, 1990, Josh was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, co-worker, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Josh was truly a special person to all of his loved ones. He possessed the unique heart and spirit to befriend and connect with everyone and anyone he would come into contact with in his life. Whether it be as part of his high school activities at Shawnee Mission Northwest including band and football or in his adult life cheering for Kansas State and playing a round of golf, Josh was consistent in his love and support for others.

For those that knew or met him, there was never a doubt that Josh would, without question, lend a hand, tell a joke, share movie and musical trivia, or discuss a funny story. He was well-known by all for his willingness to help others, especially when it came to home improvement projects. In all, Josh was always there for his friends and family, no matter what they needed, and his heart was evident in all he did, always caring more about others than himself.

Josh's passions in life were golf, sports, music, movies, and, of course, friends and family. He found his dream career working at various Johnson County golf courses, most recently at Milburn Country Club, where he was able to combine his love for the game with his outgoing personality. Both as a child and as an adult, Josh had the ability to light up the room whenever he was in it.

Josh's greatest joy came from spending time with his wife, Krista, and their son, Ben. Whether playing soccer together in the back yard or working on a project at their home, this was when Josh was at his best. He also cherished moments with his parents, John and Nancy Douglas, and his siblings, Trina, Chrissy, Jeff, Jason, Sarah, Emily, and their spouses. To all who know them, it is evident that their immediate family has a special bond. Josh leaves behind a loving extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends who will hold him in their hearts forever.

Josh was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, George and Wanda Gregar, and his paternal grandparents, John and Bernice Douglas.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Josh, we request that those wishing to support Krista and Ben during this time consider a donation to their family to help cover various expenses such as Ben’s future education and other financial needs that may arise in the years to come.
