Supporting Krissi, Charlie and Alice in Honor of Tom Pierce

With a shattered heart I share the devastating news that this world has lost one of the most beautiful souls ever to have walked this earth. On Saturday, July 20, 2024, one of our dearest friends, Tom Pierce, unexpectedly passed away in his sleep, without having any previous health concerns. There are no words to express the collective grief we are all feeling with this sudden tragedy, but none more so than Tom’s heartbroken family he leaves behind – his wife Krissi, stepson Charlie and daughter Alice. Tom was an incredible husband, amazing father and one of the best friends you could ever have. He had a love for life that really couldn’t be matched and the constant smile on his face could light up any dark space. Tom was known for giving the BEST hugs and showing others how much he cared for them. He was a social butterfly and made friends with anyone, everywhere, at any time, no matter what the situation. Tom’s most incredible accomplishment in life was his daughter, Alice, who turns 4 at the end this month. Alice is the very definition of a Daddy’s Girl and Tom was her best friend.

Tom worked tirelessly to support his family as the primary provider and did all he could to ensure Krissi and the kids were taken care of. They were his whole world and all he ever wanted was to ensure they were cared for and those who knew Tom were well aware of how important his family was to him.

Krissi has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support for Tom and requests to help her and the kids. She is so grateful for all the love and support and just like Tom, Krissi is always the one to give and care for those around her, so she is foreign to the idea of asking for and accepting help from others and even in this horrific tragedy, she has been more concerned about her children than herself and of Tom’s family and friends and how they are dealing with their pain from the loss. With this unexpected loss, there will come expenses she is not prepared for; funeral expenses to honor Tom and future financial strain as Tom was the primary provider and she will now have to leave work to care for the kids and navigate her way through the pain of this loss.

For all those that have been asking how they can help Krissi, I have set up a GoFundMe account for Krissi and the kids which will go directly to them during this time of need. We can help lessen the financial burden so they can focus on grieving and supporting each other through this very tough time. All contributions will help cover funeral costs and living expenses and anything left over will be put aside for Charlie and Alice for future expenses.

Tom worked hard to provide for his family, so as his community, I would love it if we could help provide support for Krissi and the kids in his honor.
