Hello everyone. Tim and Adel thank you for taking the time to read Kenny's update. We are rallying together during an unimaginably difficult period, and we are asking for your support as Kenny continues a long, uncertain road to recovery.

Six weeks ago, Kenny suffered a sudden and severe heart attack. His heart stopped for six minutes before medical staff were able to bring him back. Since that terrifying day, Kenny has remained in the ICU, fighting with everything he has.

Kenny is now breathing through a tracheostomy. His heart and blood pressure have stabilized, and after battling pneumonia, his fever has finally subsided. Sadly, he has been diagnosed with brain damage and his recovery remains slow and unknown.

Right now, Kenny has not spoken and only slightly responds to external stimuli. He often reacts to familiar voices by accelerating his breathing or gently opening and closing his mouth, as if trying to connect. When his eyes do open, they don’t focus—but recently, he has started blinking several times on his own. These small moments give Tina, his wife, and all of us hope that he is still fighting to come back to us.

For those of us who’ve known Kenny, he is a fantastic friend, neighbor, community member and co-worker. He is the definition of happy-go-lucky—always ready to laugh at anything funny and always the first to show up when someone needs help. He brings joy wherever he goes. Now, he and Tina need our help more than ever.

Although still critical in ICU, now that Kenny's condition has stabilized, we are raising funds to help with their household and essential living costs as Tina focuses on Kenny’s care and handles the daily responsibilities on her own.
