I am raising money for my best friend, Kelly, who is finally having her third surgery on the 19th October after living with the painful and debilitating effects of endometriosis, a condition that has had a huge impact on her everyday life.
Her endometriosis has progressed to the point where she has had to go private due to the severity of her condition.

For her, endometriosis isn’t simply having a painful period or experiencing occasional discomfort. She has been living with immense, debilitating pain that can completely take over her life.
One of the complications she has experienced is going into urinary retention. On multiple occasions she has had to have a catheter inserted in order just to relieve and empty her bladder. This alone demonstrates how serious her endometriosis is affected her body.
Additional complications are that Kelly’s endometriosis has began to affect multiple organs. Her bowel is affected to the point it is pulling her stomach upwards as well as pushing her womb and bladder together causing pressure and displacement.

Endometriosis has affected her ability to work, go out, socialise and do everyday thing which many of us take for granted.

Why we need your help?
The NHS waiting process and the specialist treatment she requires have not provided a route which her conditions timeframe has allowed. This has now left her with only one choice, to go private to access the surgery needed.
The surgery is AMAZING news however, the cost is something Kelly cannot deal with on her own. I am asking for your help to raise the money needed for her surgery and the associated costs of treatment and recovery which all together will be over £10,000. Every donation regardless of the amount, brings her one step closer to getting the specialist care she needed.
If you can’t donate then please share this fundraiser as that will help reach more people and could make an enormous difference.

Endometriosis is an incredibly isolating condition, and I want Kelly to know that she doesn’t have to face this journey alone.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading, sharing, donating, and supporting her through this next chapter. ❤️

Here’s to a successful surgery on 19th October and, most importantly, to a future with less pain and a better quality of life.
