We are coming together to raise funds for our dear friend, Keith Dawson.
Keith has been a hardworking and devoted member of our community for more than 50 years. For the past 20 years, he has worked as a mechanic at Connolly’s Do it Best Hardware & Rental, becoming a familiar and trusted presence on the south side. Countless people have relied on his skill, honesty, and steady willingness to lend a hand.
Anyone who knows Keith knows he has always been the first to step up when someone needed help—no matter the size of the job or the personal cost in time or money. That’s just who he is.
On February 18th, Keith was rushed to the hospital, where doctors found multiple blood clots in his arm and hand. During further testing, they discovered a 4.5 cm mass in his lung, which has since been confirmed as cancer. This diagnosis has turned life upside down for Keith and his family.
In the weeks and months ahead, there will be significant medical expenses, along with the everyday household bills that will now fall on his wife’s shoulders alone.
If the situation were reversed, Keith would not hesitate to help. Now it’s our turn to stand beside him, his wife, and even his beloved cats, who mean so much to him.
If you are able, please consider making a donation. Any amount will go directly toward medical costs and essential living expenses, allowing Keith to focus on treatment and healing rather than financial stress.
If you’re unable to contribute, sharing this fundraiser would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for supporting Keith during this incredibly difficult time.
