Many of you know and dearly love Katy James. Right now she needs our help and support.

Katy is an incredible and loving friend and host who has given so generously to so many of us over the years. Her door has always been open: a landing pad for friends passing through London, a safe haven for artists, musicians, and the wide constellation of creative spirits who found a place to belong with her. Katy has held space with such warmth and kindness, offering a nurturing, grounding home where community could gather.

Now, after so much giving, it’s our turn to be there for Katy.

In central Portugal, she poured her heart into building a beautiful retreat space — a place of healing, rest, and community that has touched so many lives. Recently, devastating wildfires swept through the land. While her house was spared and thankfully Katy and her animals are safe, much of her land and livelihood has been reduced to ashes. Her insurance only covered the house, leaving her to face the immense task of restoration and rebuilding with no insurance funds.

This is where we can help

Donations will go directly towards:

-Reseeding and tree planting, to bring life and shade back to the land.

-Creating fire-resistant structures, so Katy can once again host retreats, volunteers, friends, and family.

-Protecting the land from landslides while laying the foundation for a resilient and thoughtful rebuild.

Katy would never ask for herself. But we can step forward now, together, to show our gratitude for all she has given, and to help her bring this sanctuary of love and community back to life.
