Whether you know her as Kate-Madonna, Kate, Katie, Mama, Wife, Bonus Mom, Sister in Christ, Communicator Extraordinaire, or something else, if you're reading this you likely know the phenom that is Kate-Madonna Hindes Quast. She's the nicest fierce advocate for justice and rightness I've ever met, and she constantly finds ways to lift up people and populations that are being ignored. She's "helpfulness" personified. And now she needs our help.

As you may know, Kate-Madonna has dealt with cancer many times. Many many many many many many many many many times. Yeah, that's nine times. And here we are with the tenth.

Cancer is expensive, monetarily and otherwise. This fundraiser will help support Kate-Madonna as she goes through treatment and aftermath, helping with lost salary because of being on leave (and the insane hoops to jump through to actually get paid), childcare, dogcare, transportation, fun hats, medical bills, house bills, snacks - just all the things that don't stop when someone is dealing with cancer.

I picked this number somewhat randomly - I don't know if this is not enough, enough, or too much. But it's a number that I think will be helpful, easing financial stress so she can concentrate on her health without worrying about money.
