Our dear friend Karina was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer at the end of 2019. She went through chemotherapy and a year later, it spread to her liver. She had part of her liver removed and this year she had to have the upper part of her left lung removed because the cancer returned. Since the cancer spread, it is now considered stage IV. She is currently going through chemotherapy, and it has taken a toll on her physically, mentally, and emotionally. She is constantly nauseous and feels too weak to go to work.
