Supporting Juliet & family after suffering unthinkable loss

It is with heavy hearts that we come together to support Juliet, a devoted Hospice CNA, loving mother, and compassionate caregiver, who has just experienced a loss no parent should ever have to endure.

Juliet recently lost her 23-year-old daughter, Anneka after a long and courageous medical battle with severe heart conditions. Her daughter fought tirelessly for years, ultimately undergoing a heart transplant in 2024. Despite every effort, love, and sacrifice, she passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Juliet is the kind of caregiver who gives her whole heart to others. She works multiple jobs to make ends meet and is known by her leaders, management, patients, and families as diligent, hardworking, committed, and deeply compassionate. The gratitude expressed by the families she serves speaks volumes about the kind of person she
is.

Even while facing her own hardships, Juliet never stopped showing up for others. Last year, she underwent ankle surgery and returned to work before fully healing because she needed to pay bills and cover her daughter’s ongoing medical care. As a result of these circumstances, Juliet has no PTO remaining.

In an act that reflects both her strength and her heartbreaking reality, Juliet returned to work the very day after her daughter passed, not because she was ready, but because she had no financial safety net. While she does have a few bereavement days available, those days will be used to lay her daughter to rest and to be with her family as they honor her life at the funeral on February 7th.

Now, the weight of mounting medical bills and over $12,000 in unexpected funeral expenses has created an overwhelming financial burden at a time when Juliet should be allowed to grieve without fear of how she will survive. Juliet is more than a coworker. She is a mother. A caregiver. A woman who has dedicated her life to helping others
through their most vulnerable moments. Now, she needs our help.

We often say it takes a village to raise a child—and it also takes a village to support a mother who has just experienced one of the most devastating losses imaginable.

If you are able, please consider donating. No amount is too small. Your generosity will help ease Juliet’s financial stress, allowing her the space to grieve, heal, and begin navigating life after this unimaginable loss.

If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this page.

Thank you for opening your heart and standing with Juliet during this incredibly difficult time.
