Our kindhearted and selfless daughter.. cousin.. aunt.. coworker and friend, Julie Hu, was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Endometrial Cancer.  Julie has spent the better part of her professional career as a pharmacy technician constantly focused on preparing treatments for others, but now she is the one in need of support.

Her Story:
Five years ago, Julie began to notice irregular episodes of heavy bleeding. She kept an eye on the condition and underwent routine checkups, but the results of a biopsy on May 15 would dramatically alter her life.  Within days of hearing that she had Endometrial Cancer, Julie would have to make the excruciating decision of  giving up her ability to ever bear children of her own. Due to the aggressiveness of the cancer, a total hysterectomy had to be performed and soon. The treatment plan would also require that she undergo several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation.

Support:
As Julie continues her chemo and radiation treatments, the bills have begun to mount. Due to her weakened immune system, she cannot concurrently work and undergo treatment as her job would put her directly in line with plethora of illness that pass by the counters of Walgreens on a daily basis.  Walgreens has been fantastic in offering her short term disability, but the period for that will run out in the next couple of weeks.  Julie is looking for support in any form to help her through this period of turmoil.  We are asking for support from the community to help Julie get through this fight with cancer.
