Supporting Journalism in Ukraine
Donation protected
This summer, I’m walking nearly 500 kilometers — from Oslo to Bergen — in support of The Association of Independent Regional Publishers of Ukraine (AIRPU).
Every step of this journey is a tribute to the courage and resilience of Ukrainian journalists. As they report from the frontlines of war, they battle not only bombs and bullets but also propaganda, disinformation, and the daily struggle to keep the truth alive.
Since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, independent journalism in Ukraine has faced relentless pressure — from threats to their safety and financial ruin to digital attacks and equipment shortages. Yet these journalists continue to report — because the truth is their weapon, and the world needs to hear it.
Why This Matters
The Association of Independent Regional Publishers of Ukraine is a lifeline for local media outlets. It empowers journalists to do what they do best: tell the real stories of war, survival, injustice, and hope.
Your support directly helps to:
- Provide essential equipment to journalists working in conflict zones
- Fund independent investigations and frontline reporting
- Support displaced media professionals who’ve lost their homes, offices, and income
- Maintain the critical flow of verified information amid chaos and misinformation
