However, we have confirmed the service for Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 6:30 PM at Palm Heights Funeral Home, located at 3711 S. Zarzamora St., San Antonio, TX 78225.
The burial service will take place on Friday, March 13, 2026, but the time has not yet been confirmed. We will share that information as soon as it becomes available.
We hope this update provides everyone with some information to help coordinate and visit the family during this time.
Again, we truly appreciate all of you. We have said it before and will say it again the family is deeply grateful to everyone who has been here with us and supported us during this difficult time
We have not met our funeral expenses goal, so we kindly as to please share.
May God Bless each and every one of you.
Second Update: First, we cannot thank you enough for your generous support. Our family truly appreciates every donation made to the Serenil family. Knowing that Joshua is surrounded by your love and support means more to us than words can express.
His children and wife are so humbled by everyone’s donations for their beloved father and husband. During this difficult time, we are reminded of who our true family and friends are as everyone comes together with such love, compassion, and support.
At this time, we have not yet reached our goal for funeral expenses and still need continued donations to give Joshua the beautiful service he deserves as he leaves this earth.
Today, we met with the funeral home and have tentatively scheduled services for Thursday, March 12, and Friday, March 13. Once everything is finalized, we will share an update along with the service details and link.
Thank you again for your continued love, prayers, and support to his wife and children.
Update: Our family is still working on funeral arrangements and hope to have confirmation by the end of the week. We truly appreciate everyone who has generously donated. We will forever remember your generosity during this difficult time. Although, we have not reached our goal to cover funeral expenses, we can only hope and pray that God will persevere during this difficult time.
Today, our family experienced an unimaginable loss. My niece lost her beloved husband, Joshua Serenil, suddenly after he suffered a stroke. There was no warning and no time to prepare. In an instant, her world and the world of their six beautiful children changed forever.
Joshua was not only a devoted husband and father, but the sole provider for their family through their independent handyman business. He and my niece worked day by day and side by side serving their local community, building not just a business, but a life together. The two were high school sweethearts -truly inseparable. Through every challenge life placed in front of them, their love never wavered. Their story is what true love looks like.
Now, my niece faces the heartbreaking reality of becoming a widow while raising her young children on her own. As she begins to navigate the overwhelming days ahead — planning services, comforting her children, and grieving the love of her life — financial stress should not be another burden she has to carry.
We are asking you to come together as a family and community to support her during this incredibly difficult time. All donations will go toward funeral expenses, household bills, and helping provide stability for the children as she figures out the next steps for their future.
If you are able to give, no amount is too small. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping this family in your prayers.
If we can please come together as a family and community to surround her and her children with love, strength, and support in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
Our family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
