Our family is currently facing an unimaginable situation.

Following a serious incident, my 5 year old nephew is receiving urgent care at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. He has undergone multiple surgeries and is currently under sedation to allow his body to rest, and see the full extent of his injuries in the next coming days. He is stable but critical.

His dad Josh and I have had to travel immediately from Launceston to be by his side, and will remain in Melbourne for the foreseeable future while he receives treatment and support.

This GoFundMe has been set up to help ease the financial pressure during this incredibly difficult time. Funds raised will go towards:

• Travel between Tasmania and Melbourne by Josh’s immediate family so he can be supported, and isn’t facing this alone while he supports his Son (Josh’s personal travel and accommodation is being covered by Patient Travel Assistance Scheme).

• Accommodation close to the hospital

• Food and daily living expenses

• Time off work and loss of income.

• Ongoing support for my nephew and his dad during recovery and the months ahead.

Right now, the focus is simply on supporting Josh so he is not alone, and has the support he needs so he can continue showing up and being present for his little fighter.
