José Huanayuiri is an Ayahuasca Shaman in the Peruvian Amazon. For more than 30 years, José has been at Refugio Altiplano, and thousands of people have experienced profound healing and transformation under his guidance.

Two months ago, José suffered a stroke that has left him unable to speak or write. It has been difficult to get clear information, and the full picture of his recovery is still uncertain. What we do know is that he is in physical and speech therapy, and that his wife Lizbeth says he is showing some progress.

What is not uncertain is the challenge his family is carrying. José is unable to work, and Lizbeth is managing everything on her own during this incredibly hard time. Lizbeth is asking for support with bills, so that Jose can continue to do physical and speech therapy.

Anyone who has spent time with José knows how much of himself he gives. He has such a big and beautiful heart. Now it is our turn to give something back.
