Earlier this month, Joey and Bianca Sallos’ home in Bruno, Saskatchewan was severely damaged after a fire broke out in the attic during the evening hours. Local firefighters were able to contain the blaze, but the house sustained major water and structural damage. While the family thankfully made it out unharmed, they lost most of their belongings.
As many of you know, Joey and Bianca were deeply involved members of our St. Mary’s Chilliwack community before moving to Saskatchewan this past August after purchasing their first home. With no immediate family in the province and the Christmas season just around the corner, this catastrophic loss has been especially difficult for them and their two little ones.
While their local community is already stepping up with donations, we here at St. Mary’s want to come together—despite the distance—to support this family who gave so much of their time, love, and service to our parish. Our hope is to help them navigate this challenging time, bring some comfort during the holidays, and assist them in beginning their financial recovery after this devastating house fire.
If you are able, please consider donating. Any amount will make a meaningful difference as Joey, Bianca, and their children work toward rebuilding their lives.
Thank you for your generosity, prayers, and support.
