This GoFundMe campaign has been established to help support our good friend and brother Joel Secundy. In 2018, Joel was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. As a result of the diagnosis, Joel immediately began treatment. Shortly thereafter, doctors discovered that his cancer had metastasized and was present in his liver and lungs. Joel's doctors gave him a grim prognosis of two and a half years and offered very limited options for future treatments. However, in 2019, Joel was fortunate to be chosen to participate in a cancer treatment program at Sloan Kettering in New York. The medical team at Kettering implemented a very aggressive treatment plan, including surgically removing the operable tumors. Joel has received chemotherapy treatment every two weeks since the surgery. Because of the aggressive treatment plan and travel to New York, Joel has been unable to work and was placed on permanent disability.
