It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Joella's passing on July 29,2025 at the age of 80. Although expected, it came more quickly than the family was prepared for. Joella was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be profoundly missed by many and especially Melinda.
As many of y'all know for the past eleven years, Joella was lovingly cared for by her daughter, Melinda. Melinda selflessly dedicated herself to ensuring Joella's comfort and well-being, sacrificing her own career and financial stability to provide 24/7 care. This unwavering commitment was a testament to the deep bond they shared and Joella's incredible spirit.
As Melinda & Shane navigate this incredibly difficult time, their family is facing the unexpected burden of final expenses for Joella.
Beyond the immediate final expenses, Melinda is now facing the challenge of regaining her financial footing after more than a decade of dedicated caregiving. The loss of income during this period has left them in a precarious position, and she will need time and support to find new employment and rebuild their life.
I wanted to help relieve some of this financial burden and stress on Melinda, so we are reaching out to our community, friends, and family for support during this heartbreaking time. Your generosity, no matter the size, will make a profound difference.
The funds raised will directly go towards:
* Funeral and memorial service cremation/burial
* Outstanding medical or hospice bills
* Essential living expenses for Melinda & Shane: To help cover immediate needs such as rent, utilities, groceries, and other expenses as Melinda transitions and seeks new employment. This will provide her with much-needed stability during a period of immense grief and uncertainty.
Joella's memory will forever live on in our hearts, and Melinda's devotion to her mother is an inspiration to us all.
Please consider contributing to help us honor Joella and support Melinda as she begins to heal and rebuild her life.
We understand that not everyone is able to contribute financially, and we deeply appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and shares.
Thank you for your compassion, kindness, and support during this challenging time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Borah Family
