Supporting Joel Cormier in his cancer battle

Dear Friends and strangers that care like old friends would,

Let's talk about Joel, he is a one-of-a-kind guy, a kind soul, an adventurist, he's a friend you can turn to when you need support, a kind word or quick-witted New England sarcasm, a quick chat on the phone or a friendly visit, a warm smile, a good laugh or a pick me up that only he would be able to give.

He is a loving soon-to-be Husband to his long-time love Rebecca, an incredible father and supporter to his son Joseph and soon-to-be stepsons Connor and Brenden. He adores his best friends, his dogs, Jax and Chloe.

Joel has worked for many years as an adjuster at Central Auto Body in Worcester and takes great pride in his work...it shows and he loves showing off what he does best - He enjoys "pimping his rides" or any of his friend's rides for that matter! He appreciates all that life has to offer and has a passion for enjoying the outdoors - in particular, he loves snowmobiling, boating and riding his motorcycles.

In early March 2023, after a while of severe back pain, he went for a MRI that was not successful, then to a CT scan that found a large tumor on his heart, and cancer metastasized throughout his body.

Cancer and its treatments aren't only challenging, it's all expensive. Many costs are not covered by insurance nor are certain costs even anticipated.

We have created this Go Fund Me to help with medical bills, and medication, and to help to relieve the financial burdens due to loss of wages from family leave and any future required expenses that have yet to be seen.

Happily, Joel and Becca have a wedding planned for early April 2023! It would be wonderful to give them a wedding gift of plenty of precious time together as a family and newlyweds without the worry of current and future expenses.
