In December, Jimmy was diagnosed with advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the lung. (lung cancer) Since then, he has been undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment, leaving him unable to work. In addition to this, Jimmy is also living with stiff person syndrome and diabetes, making this already difficult experience even more overwhelming.

As they were just beginning a new chapter (having recently purchased their first home) this unexpected news has turned their world upside down. To make things even harder, Cara also lost her mother on New Year’s Day, adding deep grief to an already incredibly stressful time.

With only one income and the rising costs of everyday life, things have become very challenging. Despite everything, Jimmy and Cara are doing their best to stay strong, positive, and hopeful as they face this together.
