Jessica's Battle with leaukemia!

Calling all Friends of Millport Near, Far and Wide…We are looking to help raise funds for one of our very own beautiful local Millport girls, Jessica Miller. Jessica Miller is the daughter of Sarah Miller from Minstrels Restaurant at the Quayhead in Millport. As many of you may know, some may not; Jessica got diagnosed with Leukemia in August 2021, and at 17, with her whole life in front of her, final year at school, and just getting her provisional to start driving, this was a devastating diagnosis. She has been going through chemotherapy treatment ever since and still has a long road ahead of her. This diagnosis has been devastating to Jessica and all her family. They have been going through the most unimaginable situation anyone could ever think of but have remained the strong, solid, caring, and most amazing people they are and always have been. Times have been extremely tough for Jessica and her family, who continue to do absolutely everything to ensure life remains as normal as possible. She still manages to smile and laugh through all of this, mainly laughing at Jason. Jessica is looking forward to getting back to Millport in a few weeks after this round of chemotherapy treatment because she can't wait to see her Gran, Grampa, brothers Finnlay and Myles and not forgetting her beloved dog Glen!

We are setting up this Go Fund Me page for anyone who would like to donate to Jessica and show their support for her. Anything will be gratefully received. The money raised will go towards anything that will make Jessicas life that bit more normal and keep that smile on her face as she fights the biggest fight of her life! It could even go towards making her 18th birthday this year that little bit more special, knowing that the whole community is behind her. We are also hosting a Fun night with Quiz (which has sold out), and we will be sharing the proceeds of the evening between Jessica herself and the Teenage Cancer Trust on behalf of Jessica.
