It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of Nery Mejia.

Nery Mejia was an extremely hardworking, kind, generous man who was deeply devoted to his family. He is survived by his loving wife Mariasmin, his three young sons—Nathan, Angel, and Jeremiah—and his stepdaughter, Jenny. At just 14, 17 and 19 years old, his sons are facing the loss of their father during some of the most important and formative years. Jenny, a medical student at UCSF, is navigating this immense grief while continuing to push forward in her studies.

Nery was the foundation of his family. He worked tirelessly to provide, support, and care for those he loved. His absence leaves not only an emotional void but also places a significant and unexpected financial strain on the family during an already devastating time. With his passing, his wife is now left to carry the immense responsibility of caring for their children on her own.

We are raising funds to help cover funeral and burial expenses, as well as to support the family as they adjust to life without him. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference and help ease some of the burdens they are facing.

Nery Mejía fue un hombre sumamente trabajador, amable y generoso, profundamente dedicado a su familia. Le sobreviven su amada esposa Mariasmin, sus tres hijos jóvenes —Nathan, Angel y Jeremiah— y su hijastra, Jenny.
