I am organizing a fundraiser for my sister, Jennifer Novak Haar.

Jennifer was born with a lung disease called Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia and up until last year lived a pretty normal life as a freelance pianist. But in the past year, her lungs have deteriorated to the point where she is now on the waitlist for a double lung transplant.

We are raising money for transplant expenses, specifically the high medical bills and loss of income. After surgery, it will be 6-12 months before she will be able to work again, and her husband Mark will also have to take about 4 months off to be a full-time caregiver while she is recovering from surgery in the hospital and for the first months at home.
