On Saturday, 9/6/2025, my mother Jennifer got in a terrible car accident and sustained several very severe internal injuries as a result, as well as a fractured ankle, and aspirated lungs. Since then, she has gone through 3 surgeries- one emergency surgery to stop internal bleeding upon arrival to the hospital, a second 9-hour long surgery (originally supposed to be 2-3 hours) on pretty much her whole bile system (liver torn in half, top of pancreas tear, stomach and intestine injuries- basically having to repair and reattach everything), and a third on her fractured ankle. We are so grateful she survived, and equally as heartbroken that this happened. She was intubated until 3 days ago, and at this time is awake and aware, able to talk a bit, and very emotional while processing everything. She is making great progress, but is still currently in the ICU.

It has been an extremely difficult time on her and our entire family. We are unsure of how long recovery will be, but our understanding is that it will be very lengthy, and she will be out of work for awhile. She is freshly (and proudly!) a flight attendant, loves her job, and if anyone knows her, you know how this will add so much stress not only financially but emotionally. She is very passionate and puts 100% into this career, as well as her long-time real estate career.

This gofundme is to help cover her medical bills, as well as assist with everyday bills due to being out of work for a prolonged and indefinite period of time. Additionally, it will be used to assist my stepfather, Dave, with his bills and everyday bills such as groceries, gas money (the hospital is about 40 minutes away from their house) mortgage, insurance, etc. as he also has and will have to miss work to ensure continued support and care is had. It will also assist with her car fund; they are still waiting on insurance to come back with estimates, but it is very likely that they will owe money and not have anything to put down on anything in the future.

I will be blunt in saying, I have no idea as of right now if this will scratch the surface, or if this is an over estimate, but anything is so, so appreciated.
