Helping Jenn H win her battle with Breast Cancer

Anyone who knows Jennelyn Hagad will agree that Jenn is the best kind of human. Jenn is an angel in real life and I don't think I would have survived the past year without her. Jenn is full of love, compassion, empathy, kindness and patience for others. I have been fortunate to work with Jenn in a retirement home in Calgary, AB. for several years now. Most days in a retirement community service operation there is at least one unexpected problem we have to adjust to in the moment without time to prepare properly that puts additional pressure on each team member. Jenn has always handled these daily challenges with grace and good humor. Our residents would never suspect that Jenn is in pain or under stress in service because her patience is extraordinary, her compassion for others, fast, and kind service remains super under far from ideal circumstances. More recently, as we have lived and worked one day at a time through the Covid 19 Pandemic of 2020 Jenn was a bright light of courage and patience in our community as she continued to care for all our residence and listen to their concerns as the pandemic progressed and fear, stress and anxiety disabled many of our team, residents and families at different time. Jenn remained calm, optimistic, compassionate and showed up every day. I learned that Jenn was preparing to have surgery to remove breast cancer this fall and have continued to be inspired by her courage. Jenn is facing extraordinary medical expenses because her medical insurance doesn't cover the medicines prescribed, many Uber trips to and from the hospital and her family doctor while she cannot drive, and regular expenses that are impossible to pay with no income as she can not return to work until her immune system is stronger. If life was fair Jenn would not be fighting Breast Cancer right now, she would be healthy and happy with everything she needs because this is what she gives to others every day. Striving to make life as good for others as I possibly can, I hope this go fund me will raise enough to take care of Jenn's medical expenses and provide enough to make ends meet and provide for her daughter until she is well enough to return to work.
