It is with heavy hearts that we reach out to you today to share the news of the passing of Amber's grandmother, Jeanne. After a valiant battle with multiple health complications including breast cancer, bone marrow cancer, kidney failure, and sepsis, she peacefully left this world. While we mourn her loss, we are reminded of the incredible woman she was and the legacy she leaves behind.

Amber's grandmother left behind a small family of us, but she always made a point to personally shower us all with affection, in her own gruff way. Those who knew Jeanne will remember her for her direct attitude and her no-nonsense way of life, but she was a lover of her family and a compassionate caretaker of any animal that walked within a square mile of her house. However, along with the grief that accompanies her passing, we are facing some practical matters that need attending to.

We are reaching out to humbly ask for your support during this difficult time. The financial burden of funeral expenses and the various legal costs associated with managing her estate and probate are significant. Unfortunately, Jeanne did not leave behind a will or trust and we are now entering into a difficult period of legal matters in the midst of mourning. Amber and Jeanne’s family are facing these challenges with courage, but they cannot do it alone.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. Your kindness will help alleviate the financial strain and allow the family to focus on grieving and honoring the memory of Jeanne, as well as her late husband Bennie as they go together into the next life.
