Supporting Janna & Howard Through Surgery and Cancer Treatment

Janna is facing a major surgery on February 23, 2026, in Pittsburgh as part of her ongoing battle with stage IV colon cancer. During this operation, surgeons will remove her colon tumor, affected lymph nodes, gallbladder, and a liver tumor, and place a liver chemotherapy pump so treatment can be delivered directly to her liver.

This surgery is expected to last 4–5 hours, followed by a 7–10 day hospital stay. Chemotherapy through the liver pump will likely begin before she is discharged and will continue once she returns home.

Unfortunately, the home infusion company providing this specialized treatment is out of network, leaving Janna and her husband, Howard, responsible for 50% coinsurance for each treatment, in addition to surgical costs and Howard’s hotel expenses while Janna is hospitalized.
