Supporting Jan Mika Jr.'s Family After His Passing

Happy New Year to all. We pray that 2026 will be a year of healing. Jan Mika Jr. has been laid to rest and the Mika family needs our support now more than ever. Please take a moment to send a donation to support them. These funds will help the continuation of their schooling, sports and offer Stehle a safety net no one would ever think to plan for. If you knew Jan you know he went out of his way to help others and his community. Now it’s our turn to return the gesture.

We’re heartbroken at the passing of Jan M. Mika Jr., who passed away suddenly on December 24, 2025, at the age of 48. He was a devoted husband to Stehle and loving dad to Ryan (age 14) and Peyton (age 9) who were the center of his world.

We are raising funds to support Stehle, Ryan and Peyton after the heartbreaking loss of their beloved husband and father. He was a devoted husband and dad who loved watching and supporting his kids.

He was deeply devoted to his children and took great joy in every moment spent with them - whether cheering as a hockey and baseball dad alongside his best friend and sidekick, Ryan, or proudly coaching Peyton in softball and jiu-jitsu. He adored his children and could never do enough for them. Above all, Jan's family was his greatest pride, and the love he shared with his wife was the foundation of his life.

He proudly served as a member of the Albany Police Department, a role he took seriously and carried with honor.

Jan was a big time hockey dad. We are asking our hockey community to pull together the way we always do—wrap this family in love, prayers, and support. Whether you knew Jan personally or just know this game and the tight-knit community it builds, please join me in standing behind his loved ones during this awful time.

This fundraiser will help provide stability for the family, including daily needs, school, and continuing the sports activities their dad was so proud of. Every donation, prayer, and share helps remind them they are not alone.

Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time.

This fundraiser is organized by NY Dynamo Hockey family on behalf of Mika Family.
