Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers, I’m reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my brother, James Friesen, who is going through one of the toughest times of his life. On October 4th, he was admitted to the hospital due to a severe infection in his foot—a dangerous complication from his type 1 diabetes. This news has been incredibly difficult for our family to process, especially because just last month, he married the love of his life. What was meant to be the start of a beautiful chapter has now become an overwhelming battle for his health. James and Kayla are facing not only the emotional weight of this but also the strain of trying to manage their lives while he remains in the hospital.
