Help Support James and his Family
Donation protected
Please support James and family through his recovery from a debilitating accident that occurred on July 14th, 2019. That day, James was driving his 1973 Volkswagen van through San Francisco when a horrible, freak accident occurred. A catastrophic failure in the steering system of the van occurred suddenly and without warning, causing the vehicle to veer sharply to the side while travelling through an intersection near his home in San Francisco.
As a result, the vehicle crashed into a parked car at 30-40 miles per hour, crushing the front driver’s side of the van and and seriously injuring him.

The accident caused compound fractures and breaks in both lower legs and damage to his feet, removing his ability to walk. Since the accident, he has had permanent rods inserted into his legs to set the bones and begun his long road to recovery, estimated to take a minimum of 3 months, possibly longer. Ambulances, hospital stays, surgery, daily physical therapy, and extended physical therapy are all current and growing expenses for his family.

As the primary income for the family, James will not be able to return to full work for a number of months while he works to regain his ability to walk and function normally again. During this time, we are asking for donations to help support James and his family to cover the extensive medical bills that have resulted and basic living expenses that they are unable to pay during this time of reduced income. We have a goal of $15,000 dollars to support James and his family over the next 3-4 months.
We are thankful for any support provided during this challenging time. James and his family are resilient and positive people who have been dealt a serious blow to the daily routine of life. For those who know James, he is someone who lives to carry other people, and thank you to each of you for your help to carry him when he cannot.
