Hi, our names are Eva, Divya, and Hugo, and we are fundraising for our dear friend James.

Earlier this year, James was diagnosed with osteomyelitis, a severe bone infection that requires ongoing hospitalization and specialized medical care. From November to January, he endured one of the most challenging periods of his life, suffering from relentless, debilitating headaches that made it impossible for him to work or even carry out daily activities. He was hospitalized for 15 days at la Pitié Salpêtrière last January to treat the bone infection.

However, this condition has caused significant damage to his skull, requiring a complex surgical procedure to insert a metal implant in the affected area.

The financial burden of his treatment and surgery is immense, and he needs our support now more than ever. Every bit of help can make a difference in his journey to recovery.

James is a resident of Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, a campus that provides housing to thousands of international students coming from around the world. As the elected president of the resident’s committee from his house, he prioritizes the well-being of others and nurturing the community. He is also a member of the Bureau des Residents (BDR) and is actively involved in the organization of Jeux interfondations as a referee, setting up the courts, coordinator, and photographer.

Additionally, he is the lead proponent of RandoCité, a student initiative project that won a spot in Fonds des initiatives résidents (FIR) in 2024. The main goal of the project is to promote an active lifestyle through organizing hiking and walking tour activities around Île-de-France that are free for all CIUP residents, staff, and their friends and families; as well as to promote the importance of forests and green spaces in Île-de-France.

James is one of the kindest, most selfless individuals you will ever meet. With a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and as a current formation student in French accounting, James dreams of working in the pharmaceutical industry and development sector to save lives and make a difference in the world.
